WELCOME TO THE NIGHT WATCH FOR EUROPE
As you know we have drawn regularly on the prophetic movement within Europe for direction throughout the five years of our watch. This week we will give time to praying through the extensive prophetic word given by Lee Ann Thompson last May, much of which has begun to come to pass, and which she has re-circulated this week past. The word usefully contextualises Europe in the continents of Africa and Asia which we border, so we will be praying for them too. It is part of Lee Ann’s strength that her words can be quite complex but begin to unfold to the understanding when applied prayerfully. Please respond with any questions you have or further revelations you receive as you pray.
Once again we draw your attention to the coming Nightwatch transition event in Majorca, September 26th-28th 2008. We believe that it will be an important event for hearing and mobilising for the next phase of the forerunning task for the resurrection of our continent that many of us know the Lord has enlisted us in. Please note that although the final date for the agreed hotel prices has now past, it is still possible to register at a slightly higher price. We are looking for a Christ-picked company of up to forty people and there are still spaces left. Full details of the event are found at the end of this week’s guidelines.

You will not always agree with everything in the watch material. Go with what you can and trust the Lord to help you with the rest. This Nightwatch began in November 2003 and we are looking to carry on until the transition event of September 26th-28th 2008 in Majorca. After this we expect to move to a different form of intercessory support.
THE CONTENT OF THE WATCH FOR THE WEEK BEGINNING SUNDAY SEPTEMBER 7th 2008
AN EXTENSIVE PROPHETIC WORD FROM LEE ANN THOMPSON
“I wanted to send this word again that the Lord gave me and that I circulated in May of 2007. Much has come to pass. I am still aware of the significance of Armenia in the current 'Caucasus corset' as an unseen influence acting at 'rudder level' in the spiritual make-up of the region. The sense of Estonia and the Baltic countries rising at this time is important especially in the light of the pressure Russia is mounting. Central Europe is in for turbulence, with the nations carrying both Slavic and Celtic roots being in a key position to bring real stability and grace, as old 'fault-lines' are being revisited with old and ancient arguments and powers.”
1) AFRICA (6 minutes)
As I was praying I saw the curtains draw back and the globe exposed. I was immediately taken to Africa and saw the continent in advance stages of pregnancy and well into labour for bringing forth birth. I felt the urgency for midwives, servants, and those who will join in the push at this key time. Africa must give birth now. What the continent is carrying cannot miss this time of incarnation, or we all miss it. Her arms are outstretched to the east and the west. Who will grasp the hand now to join in this endeavour? The demonic shield around the continent has been weakened due to the removal of much iniquity in regards to slavery and iniquitous history. It is a key moment from without and from within. Zimbabwe holds a key place of spiritual government, and the movement into identity in that nation will have a trigger effect on all the others on the continent.
2) CHINA (6 minutes)
I saw China groaning underneath a layer of controlling that has been shifted around, but not broken. I see there is a time of splitting open that is coming from within. The work being carried on in the invisible, will become visible. A 'changing of the guard' is coming as the Lord refreshes the Gatekeepers with new leaders who are equipped to partner for the next season. There is a fine tuning beginning to happen in key places and people. What has been a broad move will become more specific. This will affect investment as there is a rising need for greater discernment. Something is ending and something is beginning there, as the next wave begins to rise.
3) SCANDINAVIA (6 minutes)
I saw very high winds begin to blow in Northern Europe, across the Scandinavian countries. This wind was at such high velocity that it was blowing off dust and ashes and revealing things hidden in the ground, uncovering things from long ago. I saw pure gold of such quality in the ground there. There is a sense of expectation in watching for the discovery of things with archaeological significance that will provide keys of understanding.
4) THE BALTIC (6 minutes)
I saw the Lord beginning to drip oil down in the Baltic area, with Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania receiving fresh resources. The Lord is intending an Antioch in this area with influence being widely distributed. Helsinki, Tallinn, and Riga have a key identity and partnership in this.
5) RUSSIA (6 minutes)
St. Petersburg is a key City of Refuge. There is an aspect of being 'hidden' which is important right now. We need to pray that she is not drawn out during the time of invisibility. It is imperative that networks of relationships are drawn together now. We need the help of the angels because there is confusion there, and people have their own ideas. The Baltic cities must understand the role of St. Petersburg and partner and protect the work the Lord is bringing there.
6) FRANCE (10 minutes)
I saw the Lord pick up France in His hand. He said 'I am going to carry France.' I am strengthening the Backbone of the nation. I am measuring the shoulders for new garments, as the clothing of the last season is too small. I am drawing in the corners of the nation and creating cohesion.' I saw France turn its' back to Europe in some ways. This is because the Lord is calling for France to have full frontal and undivided attention to His face. We must watch France for the posturing that is coming. The chain from France to Africa has been broken, and there is now a bridge in place. I see massive resources moving into Africa. The next generation in the nation of France is maturing as this shift is taking place. I see people in France heading for port cities in Africa. Many are being stretch to become bi-locational, and acting as gatekeepers. I see new offices opening with French people at board room tables bringing in a cutting edge. I see tent pegs being strengthened in relationships to Scotland, Portugal, Russia, and Turkey. The muscles of France will bring cohesion in Europe that will be very important in the days ahead. There is a strength that is coming that will be offered to other nations, like a rope being thrown into turbulent seas. Where France has had leaders in the past that have been their undoing, the Lord is now causing that nation to be an 'undoing.' The Lord is restoring the innocence to that of a little child. His Spirit is melting the heart to have Trust again. I see France clothed in light silvery blue.
7) ARMENIA (8 minutes)
The Lord spoke at the first of the year about Armenia coming into a time of manifestation.
“Armenia will come into view this year. This will rise from a place of extreme. Confrontation is rising there, and there will be a splitting open, an earthquake release of the End Time purposes of that nation and peoples. There are deep roots that hold strengths for the days ahead, and Armenia will take a lead in some key ways. There are impartations of identity that have been held secret until these days. The very land itself will quake as these secrets are brought to the surface.
Armenia will not be the only place that will shake, but there will be an increase of physical disturbances of all manners in relation to the earth as the shifting plates of time, space and destiny converge during this period. Martyrs will fulfil their high call this year in many places and paradigms.”
What has become clear is that as the wife and widow of the martyred brother in Turkey had her beloved husband buried in an untended 100 year old Armenian cemetery. This seed going into the ground will produce the beginning of the shaking.
8) THE CAUCASUS (6 minutes)
There is s stitching together of power in this border region that has become too tight and that we can call the 'Caucasus Corset.' Russia is exercising dominion into key energy resources, thus potentially bringing Europe into a place of great dependency. The earth is groaning and will begin to complain with physical disturbances. There is a fault line that will shift and new alignments will occur. This will happen physically and spiritually. The border line of Europe and Asia Minor is coming into greater awareness. The watershed of this mountain range, with flows going to both Europe and Asia is a key spiritual environment. This border land is vulnerable to great contention once again.
9) THREE STRATEGIC BATTLES (6 minutes)
Three strategic battles for this year rest in Venezuela, Zimbabwe and the Caucasus Region. Each of these places represents key governmental seats that need to shift into alignment. They are deeply connected to the progress of the continents they are located in. The resources that are located in these places are of international concern. These are key positions of strength.
